Tot/Family Shabbat, Nosh & Community Shabbat Services

January 16 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Free
  • « TBY January Board Meeting
  • Torah Study »

TBY welcomes Jewish Nevada’s Shishin – Gur Bomash.  Read more about the Shinshin program below.

We begin at 5:30pm with Tot/Family Shabbat, a warm and engaging gathering for our youngest community members and their families—with songs, a story, and simple Shabbat blessings with our visiting Shinshin Gur Bomash
At 6:00pm, we continue with a light nosh, including light appetizers and challah. We encourage all to bring something to share (no meat, fish is good) but not required!
At 6:30pm, we gather for a Community Shabbat service, offering a meaningful pause in the week and a chance to connect with community, reflection, and shared traditions. All with our visiting Shinshin Gur Bomash
To plan and prepare to host Gur, it would help greatly if you could RSVP below!
About the Shinshin Program
The Jewish Nevadah Shinshin program brings young Israeli “ambassadors” (Shinshinim) to Nevada for a year of service, working with local Jewish communities (like Jewish Nevadah, JCC Southern Nevada, Jewish in Northern Nevada, and area congregations in partnership with Jewish NV) to connect teens, families, individuals, and community with Israeli culture through fun, interactive events, fostering a living bridge between Israel and Jewish life in the United States.  This year, Jewish NV, is honored to have Gur Bomash as our Shinshin who will be visiting Northern NV and our TJC congregations of TBY and NTHC from time to time.

Support Temple Bat Yam

Temple Bat Yam is a vibrant community representing Judaism on the South Shore of Lake Tahoe. Our membership takes great pride in living this role for our community and to share Judaism with the wider community as well as our many visitors. Our congregation thrives through the generous support of Jewish tourists inspired by their visit, by partnership with other congregations to host retreat and other shared programs in Tahoe and with your support. Consider supporting Temple Bat Yam through your financial contributions, by your presence and with your time.
