Erev Sukkot – The Tabernacle of our Hearts

Join us in the TBY Sukkot this year as we learn about God’s provision and protection of our people in this family themed “Tabernacle of our Hearts”. To celebrate the feast of tabernacles we are asking all who come to bring a first fruit “offering” to decorate the Sukkah… We imagine these to be: a physical reminder of your Judaism that lives in your Home. Something that when you glance at it as you move through your home and your busy schedule it brings joy and connection to your life. A wall hanging, a decoration on a mantle, an object, a kippah, a piece of art, a tzadakeh box… something that grounds your home in your Tradition of being Jewish. Something that reminds you of God’s presence in our lives. We invite you to bring this item into the Community Sukkah and be ready to share with the group what this object means to you and your family, to your Judaism, to your identity. Help us to bring life to our Sukkah by having a piece of everyone’s hearts decorate our Community Sukkah. To make this a “Tabernacle of our Hearts”  And, as the name implies, pizza will be our main dish in the “Hut”!

Note:  Our Pizza is our main dish and all are welcome to bring a side dish to share.

• Welcome & Sharing our gifts to Decorate our Sukkah
• Community Dinner
• Brief Service with Focus on continued learning about the meaning of the Tabernacle. Lead by Ben Goldenberg
