Rabbi Jonathan Freirich
Another beautiful summer week in the Sierras!
More great events at TBY this week - Talmud, Spirituality Chat, Relay for Life planning, Valley Shabbat, and then Tisha be-Av next week.
Check out all the details here.
Also feel free to join all the discussions and interesting things on my website: www.jewishand.org - including my Death Ride training updates - I finished all five passes, by the way!
You can find me holding office hours at the Temple, or often nearby at the Blue Angel Cafe, most weeks on Wednesdays and Fridays, from Noon until 2pm - please check ahead of time to make sure I will be there. I am available for appointments most weeks, from Tuesday through Saturday. Please don't hesitate to e-mail me (rabbijonathan@yahoo.com) to arrange a meeting.
Jonathan B. Freirich, originally of New York City, received ordination from the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College in 1999. He received a BA in Philosophy from Middlebury College in 1992. Jonathan has spent more than 3 years living and studying in Israel. Since becoming a rabbi he has worked with college and university students and unaffiliated Jewish 20- and 30-somethings, as well as with a home for the aged, in Tucson, Arizona, and Cleveland, Ohio. Now in Tahoe for more than 6 years, Jonathan feels like he has found a home with a wonderful community in a fantastic place.
