Temple Bat Yam of South Lake Tahoe is a Reform Synagogue affiliated with the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ). We are dedicated to providing each member, child, youth, or adult, a framework for connection to Jewish heritage, tradition, learning, and living.  Mindful of our covenant, we lovingly teach our children awareness of, commitment to, and observance of Judaism, through active personal involvement.  With a dynamic and progressive interpretation of the application of Jewish law, we strive to meet the varied spiritual-ritual, educational, and social needs of the Jewish community.  Our effort is to maintain an egalitarian synagogue where continuity of Jewish life is nourished by caring, compassion, and commitment.
